    Gas mask animation is a good thing

    Let me explain why

    It's a punishment for entering the gas. Your not supposed to be in the gas so this makes sense.

    It stops people playing the edge of gas without taking damage.

    It stops people jumping out of gas and immediately shooting you.

    Playing edge of gas or in the gas is abusing the gas. Just like sitting in a Bertha with a trophy in solos is abusing a part of the game.

    Just like the vision in and out of gas. It's there to stop people sitting gas and abusing that mechanic of the game.

    Way too many comments/posts complain about this mechanic. When it's actually way better than in other BRs were abusing the edge is pretty much required to win at higher levels (see fortnite)

    The only downside is it stopping parachutes. But this is very easy to avoid by playing the gas line properly. Either sit back and wait 3 seconds. Or go before it comes.

    TLDR; we should be thankful for the gas mask animation. It's a good mechanic in this game.

    Edit: someone checked my post history and saw I have cancer and used this as an argument against my point.

    That's got to be one of the scummiest things I've seen done on Reddit.

    Cancer is beatable. Being a person who does that is a disease beyond treatment.

    A solo story

    I'm feeling good, I hop out the plane and target someone instantly. Immediately crack him, best shots in my life. Three more hits. How is he not dead? Chase him to the ground. He pulls back and lands on a Bertha, drives away. Fine. Happens all the time.

    I pop a bounty. It pings a garage camper. He's didn't move the 2 minutes it took me the run there. He hops in a truck when I'm 5 seconds away, drives prision in a Bertha, dies.

    I go back to where I was, ping another bounty, hits farmland. Fine. Let's try again.

    Pick up my own Bertha to drive there to kill. My bounty is in a Bertha not moving. I get about 50ft from him, I get out, and he starts driving away to Prision. I get back in and chase. He's literally sat still outside prision entrance in his truck. When I get there he drives away. The timer has gone but at this point I'm determined.

    I chase this mothefucker 2 inches from his back from prision, through farmland, through the hills and up to Lumber. He crashes his truck and gets out, runs to a storage unit and accident gassed himself. I go the other side and pre aim the door, he blindly runs out facing the other way. I hit him. A lot. Crack him. He's still running straight. One more bullet and he's dead and then BANG.

    I get sniped from 400 meters away by someone on a rooftop.

    I hate solos
