    Since the barrel changes for CW snipers and CW AR/LMGs occured within the last patch, the tendency which already started a few months back is now completly dominant.

    Every MW gun except a handful is completly overshadowed by its CW counterpart.

    The reason for that is the Cold War attachments are completly busted and fail to offer any downside for them.

    The Agency/GRU suppressor doesnt hurt ADS speed as much as the Monolithic suppressor does, and doesnt hurt aiming sway while moving.

    MW weapons don't even have an option for a regular suppressor that isn't shit, like CW weapons do.

    The CW magazines do not penalize movement speed whatsoever, but the MW magazines do.

    The penalties for ADS on long barrels for CW guns is barely noticeable compared to the MW long barrels.

    The CW stocks are miles better than the MW stocks.

    The fifth cold war grip (Field Agent usually) is a better MW commando foregrip.

    The combat recon barrels on CW snipers don't even decrease ADS times which is RIDICULOUS.

    The only attachments that MW weapons have going for them are not even technically attachments, they are perks, like Fully Loaded, or Focus, or Presence of Mind, which Cold War weapons lack. And in the vast majority of situations you won't be able to afford them anyway since they are in competitions with suppressors, barrels and magazines, which are mandatory on every gun in the game, plus with the optics, grips, and tac lasers.

    This leads us to the following comparisons:


    As a no recoil long range medium fire rate AR:

    • The Krig is a better Grau (better damage, TTKs, recoil, mobility)

    As a slower fire rate AR :

    • The CW AK is a better Amax (better recoil, better damage, better TTK, better bullet velocity, more bullets, better ADS, better mobility)

    As a slow fire rate long range AR:

    • The C58 is a better MW AK (better damage, fire rate, ADS speed, mobility)

    As a sniper support (or even long range) AR:

    • The FARA is a better RAM-7 (way better recoil, way easier to use, more bullets, can get away without an optic as a sniper support, better mobility)

    As a high fire rate LMG:

    • The MG82 is what the Finn wishes it would be in its wet dreams

    As a very high fire rate SMG:

    • The MAC10 is a better Fennec (better ADS, better mobility, more bullets, better recoil)

    As a high capacity SMG:

    • The bullfrog is a better Bizon (again, no need to explain here)

    As a slow firing SMG:

    • The Milano is a better Uzi (see above)

    As a high fire rate long range sniper support-ish SMG :

    • The LC10/PPSH is/are a better MP7/ISO/P90

    As a long range semi auto rifle:

    • DMR is a better EBR/SKS (way better fire rate, way better recoil, way easier to use)

    As a burst long range rifle:

    • M16 is a better FF 5.56 (don't think I need to explain myself here)

    As a long range "patient" sniper:

    • The ZRG is a better HDR (better damage, fire rate, bullet velocity, aiming sway, reload times)

    As an agressive Sniper:

    • The Swiss is a better Kar (way more zoom, better damage)

    As a high fire rate semi auto shotgun:

    • The Gallo is a better Origin (better ranges, TTKs, damage, mobility)

    • Heck, even the CW Crossbows and RPGs are miles better than the MW ones.

    • Hell, even the CW Magnums and 1911s are miles better than the MW ones. As for the Knife, there is literally 0 reasons to use the Ballistic Knife over it.


    The only MW weapons I can think of that aren't put to shame by their CW counterparts are the Strela and the M19, simply because they don't have CW counterparts.

    Even the Kar98 is inferior to the Swiss after the many buffs it has received IMO.

    I don't know about the Streetsweeper vs Jak12 in the full auto shotgun category, the last nerf might have put the Jak12 above.


    A little background/info about me, player since late MW season 2, 375 wins, 15% winrate, 3.5KD since CW integration (just so you can see I'm not a bot who understands nothing about the game and only complains because he's being shat on every match).

    The reason I made this post is because I like MW guns better, they feel better, they look better, the animations are better, they offer more variety in the game (such as for example ammo conversions which this lazy ass Cold War didnt bother to put in the game).

    Even so, guns from one game shouldn't be completly overshadowed by the guns from the newer game simply because Activision wishes to boost their CW sales, which nobody is playing because it's a dogshit game anyway.

    TLDR: CW weapons are better than their MW equivalents, because the CW attachments are busted. There is a reason why you see 95% of CW weapons in JGOD or TrueGameData's videos about the top 10 meta loadouts and so on.

    So, as a final opening for this long post, well it's simple. Raven needs to nerf the CW attachments and/or buff the MW attachments, because it is the attachments that make CW guns better than MW ones, not the base weapons.

    Do they purposely make new Cold War guns broken/OP at launch so that people buy Cold War to grind, double xps, battle pass skips, or weapon skins to unlock without guns without challenges?

    Not a developer but I know introducing new features can have unwanted side effects on other stuff, but I'd like to think a big company like Activision would actually spend time to test updates (new guns) before deployment right?

    If so, why are we still seeing new guns to be so OP/broken? It's almost as if they purposely do it so that you spend more money on them in some way be it buying CW, double xp passes, skins, tier skips, etc?

    Honestly, I'm guilty of using the MG82 and the nailgun, but I didn't buy tiers or the skins to unlock them. But I can't help but wonder what's even going on whenever Activision introduces a new weapon?

    Can the player with the most kills in a Warzone match be briefly displayed during the Helicopter Cutscene? I think it would promote more players to move around if there’s incentive to compete for most kills. (Mock Image)

    There were quite a few posts about this issue when the game first came out, but I haven't seen any recently and felt it still needs to be stated. The complete lack of care for providing quality servers for the game rubs be completely the wrong way when it comes to the developers/publishers of the game. It's purported that Warzone servers have a tickrate of 22, which is horrendously bad in context with other F2P titles such as CS:GO which by default run at 64 tick, and even more pathetic in context with free 3rd party servers that run at 128 tick. As someone with solid knowledge of server maintenance, the state of the servers this game runs on is just... pathetic to say the least. The amount of server frame interpolation to make this game even run is staggering, which causes many instances of the classic "getting shot 10 feet behind cover" phenomenon, super-bullets, and other low tick rate quirks that are severely detrimental toward fair-play (as well as being incredibly frustrating). The amount of money a game such as Warzone brings in can surely cover the cost of implementing more quality servers.

    The crux seems to be that whoever is responsible for supporting the servers is simply too greedy and cheap to provide a better experience for the playerbase. Something so fundamental to a competitive online game being thrown toward the wayside is simply a symptom of a bigger issue though, and that is that the developers/publishers/whoever is in charge of the bigger decisions absolutely does not care about the user experience, only what makes them money. If a large change doesn't increase their profit margin, it won't be done, to the detriment of the entire playerbase. Even gameplay is being severely affected by the pointed and obvious attempt at slowly making MW guns obsolete to drive up sales of Cold War. We are in a situation where the developers and publishers are not in a mindset of creating or maintaining a quality product. They are driven not out of pride, or artistic vision, or passion for producing games, but seemingly solely by way of profit. How far down the chain of command this mindset spreads is currently unknown, but its malignancy rears its ugly head more and more every single season. I love this game, but my tolerance for its failings is slowly waning.

    Why not we can get Visualize Sound Effects like Fortnite? It would be nice if they put in Call of Duty too. Once you click "Visualize Sound Effects" and it will turn off all sound that they have to choose use sound or VSE without sound. Pretty please! I hate being frustrated all the time.
